Welcome
Hi All! Welcome to Miss Kitty's Litter Box and my gallery of goodies! If you know me, you know I love texture, display, cash and most importantly people. Which means I love to do shows, meet in person and even do private showings in your home or mine. Due to the fact my personal hand made pieces are all designed and sewn by me and are in fact ONE OF A KIND, I prefer to keep things on more exclusive basis.
My designs are completely all my own, I do not use patterns or copy others and I would kindly ask you do the same in return. When you love what you do and it comes from the heart you want to keep it protected :) For spring and summer I love to use vintage linens, old denim, antique lace, and old farm seed sacks. My claim to fame is MY MITZI Dress® See my hand made gallery page for photos The prices range from $150-$225 based on material and work...Most of the dresses are at least 90% hand stitched. Along with my boiled wool sweater coats. Which brings us to fall and winter.. boiled wool. I love to also use alpaca and especially cashmere. I focus on cut and style lines, to give your body the best look and I make sure to create a royal sense to give you importance! My boiled wool coats range from $150-$450 |
HOW IT ALL BEGAN!
I have been buying and selling my own toys since I was 3, yep 3! I was raised into the antiques business and when I was 5 my mom left the booth for mere minutes and I began selling her stuff. From that day forth there was no question where my future was headed. At 13 I bought my first piece of vintage clothing, it was an 1800s coat and I was hooked! I had always loved coats but after that all through high school I collected and sold vintage clothing and loved every minute of it! I eventually got into painting furniture and expanding from clothing adding home goods, which made more work and sweat. So I made myself a dress, to be comfortable, playful and breathable and it ended up being the only thing anyone wanted to talk about at the show! I hired guys, rented trucks, hauled furniture and no one cared, they just wanted to know about the dress. After a few shows in a row of this, it was clear, BAM, The Mitzi Dress was born!
